From the first camp site
The first leg of the journey is done. We finally rolled into our camp at Half Moon Bay at around nine pm. Large hills and a rather unruly trailer made for lots of pit stops. Highlights would definitely include the 40mph romp down a curving hill and a stroll through a eucalyptus forest.

BEASTS. Stoked for you. If you are taking Hwy 1 down, stop at the Esalen Instute (40 miles south of Carmel, and next to the Julia Pfeiffer Burns states park). It's beautiful. Mineral baths built into the cliffs and caves, straight out of Lord of the Rings.
